Hazard Communication and GHS Update – Required upon hire and when chemical exposure changes, such as job changes or when new chemicals are introduced. Includes discussion of chemical hazards (flammable, toxic, carcinogens, etc.), warning labels, signal words, first aid, chemical inventory, safety data sheets (SDS) and emergency spill response. Several states including Minnesota, Michigan and California require annual hazard communication training. Michigan is required to post locations on where to find SDS and post information on new chemicals within 5 days.
